Statewide Technical Education Program.
Rethinking how young minds build the future. Empowering Classes 6 to 9 across the state.
About STEP
What is STEP?
Statewide Technical Education Program is an initiative by The Inquisitive Mindspace and The Education Department Government of Sikkim bringing free, hands-on coding education to students across Sikkim— turning screen consumers into creators.
From building real-world apps to pitching ideas at the state level, STEP gives young minds the tools, mentorship, and platform to shape the future of technology in their communities.
No prior experience needed. Just curiosity, ambition, and a willingness to build.
The Pipeline
Screenless to Syntax
Pure Screenless Foundations.
Before they touch a screen, they master the logic. Block-based physical coding architectures that train computational thinking without the blue light.
Real Languages. Real Build.
Transitioning into actual coding syntax. Students dive into genuine development stacks to turn abstract logic into production code.
Our Ultimate Metric
Every student builds a live app or website from scratch.
Our Vision
We believe every student deserves technical fluency —
not just consumption, but creation.
In an age where technology is reshaping every industry, we're equipping young minds with the power to understand, build, and wield it — turning passive users into active architects of the future.
The Ecosystem
Elevating Leaders
Built by Students, For Students.
A unified digital hub engineered completely by a STEP student, where schools from across the entire state upload their live apps and projects on the platforms.
